Support Coordinator

Join NQ Integrated Solutions as a Support Coordinator and make a meaningful difference in the lives of NDIS participants across North Queensland. You will work one-on-one with participants to help them understand and activate their NDIS plans, connect with the right service providers, and steadily build their capacity to self-direct their own supports.

This is a role for someone who is genuinely passionate about disability rights, thrives on building relationships, and wants to work for a locally owned provider that puts participants — not paperwork — first.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Implement NDIS plans and establish service bookings with funded providers
  • Connect participants with mainstream, informal and community supports
  • Write and submit Support Coordination reports and plan review documentation to the NDIA
  • Coach participants to build confidence managing their own supports over time
  • Liaise with NDIA planners, LACs, allied health professionals and informal supports
  • Monitor plan budgets and ensure supports remain within NDIS Price Guide limits
  • Support crisis resolution and escalate complex matters appropriately

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Disability or related field (degree preferred)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • QLD driver's licence + insured vehicle
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

About You

  • Experience in an NDIS Support Coordination role
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards
  • Familiar with NQ disability & community services
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Able to manage a diverse, complex caseload
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with psychosocial disability or ABI
  • Knowledge of Specialist Support Coordination
  • Background in mental health or complex needs
  • Proficiency in a client management system (CRM)
  • Bilingual or CALD community engagement skills
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
