Support Coordinator

Join NQ Integrated Solutions as a Support Coordinator and make a meaningful difference in the lives of NDIS participants across North Queensland. You will work one-on-one with participants to help them understand and activate their NDIS plans, connect with the right service providers, and steadily build their capacity to self-direct their own supports.
This is a role for someone who is genuinely passionate about disability rights, thrives on building relationships, and wants to work for a locally owned provider that puts participants — not paperwork — first.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Implement NDIS plans and establish service bookings with funded providers
- Connect participants with mainstream, informal and community supports
- Write and submit Support Coordination reports and plan review documentation to the NDIA
- Coach participants to build confidence managing their own supports over time
- Liaise with NDIA planners, LACs, allied health professionals and informal supports
- Monitor plan budgets and ensure supports remain within NDIS Price Guide limits
- Support crisis resolution and escalate complex matters appropriately
Key Competencies
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Disability or related field (degree preferred)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- QLD driver's licence + insured vehicle
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
About You
- Experience in an NDIS Support Coordination role
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards
- Familiar with NQ disability & community services
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Able to manage a diverse, complex caseload
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
Highly Regarded
- Experience with psychosocial disability or ABI
- Knowledge of Specialist Support Coordination
- Background in mental health or complex needs
- Proficiency in a client management system (CRM)
- Bilingual or CALD community engagement skills
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
